The March of Time
November 1941
Camera: Navarro
Music: U. Nasiruddin
17 seconds, 1.2 MB

These general scenes of New Dehli were used in the finished India in Crisis program (May 1942). They were also intended as filler material for glimpses of the first American Commissioner to India, Mr. Thomas Murray, presenting his credentials to the Viceroy in November 1941.

The cameraman's access was superb. The first shot shows the Viceroy leaving his residence, now Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is his car that is being followed through the city. During this trip, the cameraman comes across a group of Congressmen who had just been released from jail.
