The prints available here, whether wood engravings (black and white) or lithographs (colored), are mostly original pages from 19th century weeklies like The Illustrated London News and The Graphic in England, or Harper's Weekly and Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper in the US. These newspapers had circulations in the range of 20,000 to 50,000. How many survive today is unclear. There is wide variation in the numbers preserved of individual issues. This usually depends on the commemorative value of events which had no relationship to India.
Some prints, like the Didot lithographs, are from books or published collections.
Prints are also available in custom mats, ready to frame for an extra $10 each.
