The Kutub Minar, Delhi (India)
Commenced by Kutab Uddin Aibak in 1200 and completed by his successor Shamsuddin Altamash in 1220 A.D. It is 238 feet one inch in height, 47 feet 3 inches in diameter, and an upward diameter of 9 feet. It contains thre hundred and seventy nine stairs. Engraved in the Kufi character are carved inscriptions on all the stories.
